For projects, the massive 717cc V-Twin Champion OHV engine has what it takes to handle the multiple power tools and large equipment you need to get the job done. Champion’s got convenience covered. You’ll appreciate the handy electric start with included battery, plus Cold Start Technology ensures a quick start in cold weather. The Intelligauge monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours, while the Lift Hook, foldaway U-shaped handle and never flat tires make it easy to load, unload and move your power where you need it. At 15,000 starting watts and 12,000 running watts, this powerful unit has a durable steel frame and can handle it all in an outage – lights, sump pump, refrigerator, modem/router, security system, window AC, furnace blower, fan, TV/DVD, computer, well pump, microwave and will start and run a central AC with a manual transfer switch (not included). Not only that, but the Volt Guard built-in surge protector prevents overloads and keeps your equipment safe from spikes in voltage. All the outlets have covers for protection and include 120V 30A (L5-30R) and 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) locking outlets, a 120/240V 50A outlet (14-50R) and four 120V 20A GFCI protected household outlets (5-20R).       This replaced my old generator that died. It has enough power to run everything! I even can have hot water and it's not even at 60% load. the old one couldn't keep a steady frequency; it drifted.
      A freezer, 2 refrigerators, 3 sump pumps, the well pump, hot water heater, all the lights and everything else. Don't waste your time with smaller, off-brand units. Just get a Champion!

      Had some shipping damage and customer support is great! They take care of it. Whether you need a part or take it to a service center.

      Just got our Champion 100111 12,000w Generator up and running and connected to the house this morning. Fast and easy assembly and start up! I did previously perform the 5 hour break in of the generator following the included instructions. I was not able to find a Champion brand replacement oil filter or oil, so I took the used filter and found an automobile filter (STP S2878) the exact size and it seems to work fine. I also used Castrol GTX Oil SAE 10W-30 to replace the included oil. I've seen other reviews noting the same concern with finding replacement filters and oil.

      We tested for winter use and then for summer use. We have an all electric house, so it looks like it will power our heater, 2 refrigerators, and most lights in our house at the same time for winter emergency use. We will have to shut off heater if we want to use the hot water heater, but hey, it's great to have the options! For summer, we can power the entire house with the exception of running the oven and hot water heater when the AC is on. This generator provides more options than I had originally thought it would. So happy with our purchase and the results, including the cost to do the entire job (purchase generator and retrofit the electric service) which was much cheaper than a whole house stand-by system (which was actually not an option for us because we do not have access to propane or natural gas in our neighborhood).

      One last note of caution, when finished using the generator I shut it down by turning off the gas valve and allowing the engine to run dry of fuel as noted in the manual. Be sure to go back and turn the power switch all the way off! I forgot to do that after I broke the engine in and it drained the battery within a couple of days. Now I am putting the generator on a trickle charger so I don't have that potential issue again!

      Live in Florida, and after years of mild hurricane seasons Irma came and provided a wake up call. Decided to be better prepared with backup up home power. A permanently installed unit was not an option due to constraints related to installation requirements. So needed a portable unit large enough to power the entire house without worrying about picking which appliances to power. The model 100111 is one of the largest units sold and one of the quietest; quiet being a relative comparison to other units. Had a whole house 200 AMP transfer switch professionally installed with 50 AMP plug. When i connected the unit to the switch it powered the entire home (1800 SQ FT) including AC. The 12000 watt unit handled the load without an issue.
